Ready to play the old-school game “Asteroids” renewed? This game is only available for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS

This game was originally on the Xbox 360 via Xbox Live Arcade. When it was released, gamers were hooked. This game was simple at first, with only a handful of enemies appearing, and you in your high-tech spaceship blasting every one. Within seconds, though, it goes crazy - enemies everywhere, scores in the millions, and high speed shooting. Years later, looks like nothing has changed gameplay-wise. This game is VERY colorful. Your ship is colorful, your ships’ smoke is colorful, your blaster is colorful, enemies are colorful, explosions are colorful, new enemies appearing are colorful, just about everything in this game is colorful. Within minutes of starting this game, there will be color everywhere. This game will drive you to the edge of sanity and back with all the colors. Your helper in such intense times? A small box. Before you start a stage, you can set your “friend”, the small box, to do one of many things, like attack where you are attacking, fly around you like a force-field and ram any enemy that comes near you, and much more! After using a “technique” for so long, your “friend” gets better  and that “technique” will be upgraded; attacks will be stronger and faster, and ramming is faster and stronger. There is no story whatsoever, just you in space, jumping from galaxy to galaxy, planet to planet. Every planet possesses a different stage; one might be a small square, the next planet might be a large triangle. Some stages have things no other stages have, like obstacles that enemies can go through, but you can’t shoot through, and one stage is a big diamond with a large black hole inside. Can you possibly survive the black hole AND defeat large ambushes of colorful enemies? These stages add a lot of variety to the number of possible battle outcomes with your ship. After you prove you’re the best to your friends, see how you rank online. No, there’s no online co-op, but there are online leaderboards!

With new enemies, stages, and different options, fans won’t be disappointed. If this would be your first time playing a Geometry Wars game, be sure you are ready for the intensity or you might have a mental breakdown playing this game!
