The 422nd Coast-Battery of the 561st Coast Regiment, Royal Artillery

The original 4" BL MkVII french naval guns on this site were sent to the Port Talbot battery on 1st December 1941 - later to be sent on to the Mumbles.

There is no further record regarding the installation of these guns at Mumbles Fort (Lighthouse Island).
