We had a great week there at False Cape with 8 volunteers and Bob S. came in on Wednesday after his appointment on Tuesday. We had Margaret, Dottie, Julet, Mark, Dewey, Jim, Milton, and me. We worked on all three docks and put in 21 boat slips with 6 new poles for each one. We also took down 6 old slips that we left up on that Tuesday, went we went to False Cape. First day we had walffes for breakfast and put in 5 boat slips, Tuesday we had French Toast for breakfast and we put in 10 boat slips. On Wednesday with Pancakes we dropped back to only 6 boat slips. It must be something about that French Toast, Margaret said I put in too many eggs, (only 18) tried to make it as good as Jane's was last year. We had a night hike each night with everyone on Sunday night (6 miles) Monday night with Margaret, Julet, and me, (5 miles) Tuesday night with Dewey, Dottie, Julet, Margaret, Milton and me, (4 miles) and on Wednesday night with Bob and me,(2 miles). After all that work and hiking I still gain 8 pounds, must be that good food we had each day. I have already lost the 8 pounds. We still want to build 4 more slips there at Barbour Hill Boat Dock sometime soon.
