We had a fun day today:
29 Tuesday Group hikers hit the trail at West Neck Nature Area on a cool spring morning. Hiking 3.5 miles over some soggy trails from recent rains, we explored local history stopping at James H. Whitehurst's CSA grave marker & the Whitehurst House.
After the hike, we traveled to the Warbird Museum on Princes Anne Road in Pungo. A "docent" lead tour spun tales, truths & legends surrounding this superbly restored & flyable collection of vintage WW II aircraft. We also visited the Fighter Factory restoration hangar + the WW I replica plane collection. TG Hikers rounded out the day with a late lunch at Pungo Pizza [:-)
