Bike Ride and Pool Party

A leisurely ~14 mile bike ride through 1st Landing State Park brought out 24 Tuesday Groupers. We rode from Cape Henry Plaza to the Visitor Center then on through the park to The Narrows Boat ramp and back. Several riders chose to leave after we finished. Four others went out to lunch, sure that the large black storm clouds that were building would prevent the pool party from happening. BUT NOTHING STOPS THE TUESDAY GROUP FROM HAVING FUN!! Most of us went on to Patti’s where we changed into our suits and jumped in. Serious competition followed (the London Olympics have nothing on this group) with world records being broken in “passing of the beach ball” and “diving for rings”. Storm clouds and even a few raindrops came over but no storms. After several hours, we headed off but wait….6 of us went to Tini’s for frozen yogurt treats before calling it a day. A big Thanks from the whole group to Patti for her generous use of the pool. It was a fun day.
