The Tuesday Group is obsessed with the outdoors as was proven once again Tuesday. Twenty-five members and four beloved dogs "braved" another beautiful Tuesday to do a 5.6 mile walk-about on "A Page in Time", my working farm in Wakefield . The group "mucked" around in pastures with cows and calves, they talked, they checked corn levels in silo's, some even mounted tractors, and others pointed out bones left behind by hunters, human or otherwise. When they left the barnyard, they talked, walked through quiet woods and around silent still winter fields and ponds, and many took pictures. The lunch break was beside one of the lovely ponds before the group talked and walked some more before gathering at the Big Belly Hunt Club for an ice cream social. Live entertainment was provided by the Club's mascot, a country-western singing deer!! In addition to the farm's regular TG walkers, eight new farm walkers joined us. They included Jea, Carol, Angie, Juliet, and Ken along with three new four-legged friends, Dale's new little brother, Aubrey, and Jean's Molly and Margaret's cousin Kotie. Phyllis reports both Dale and Aubrey are now soft and sweet smelling after their baths yesterday! Thank goodness for that because there was not a mud puddle Dale missed nor a rotten bone Aubrey did not try to pick up. They also slept soundly from about 5pm Tuesday until 6 am Wednesday, as did many others, I'm sure!! My thanks to all for enjoying "A Page in Time" as much as I do!! Sandra C.
