After being rescheduled several times due to weather and other activity conflicts, the maintenance trip to New Quarter Park finally happened! It was well worth the wait as warm temperatures and sunny skies greeted the local trail maintainers on this fine day. Unfortunately, along with the outstanding weather came lots of ticks and biting flies. Still, we had an excellent day lopping back overgrowth on all of the loops and repairing low-lying sections of trail hit hard by recent rains. The loppers led by Phyllis included Diana, Judy, Stephanie, JaneO, Margaret, Ed F and Brian. The trail repair crew led by head engineer Sgt. Bruce included Ellis, JP, JohnO and Ken S. We finished up and headed to Tequila Rose for lunch and a few hit the Queen Anne Dari-Snak for ice cream afterwards! Another great day for the Tuesday Group!
