Installation of sound deadener - I recommend getting a roller to help with the install.
All of the bottom OEM factory carpet was cut out. I left about a 1/4 of an inch of the bottom to help carpet keep its form. Installed the carpet back in permanently with all the mounts before I started my template
For the cardboard template - I used about 3 amazon boxes to make my final template. I used painters tape for the areas that I cut too much cardboard off of, to build the area back up. Test fitted the air management and one sub to see how everything will fit.
Once satisfied with the template, I taped it down to the MDF sheet of wood and traced it out. Moved the template off and used a jig saw to cut out the design. Smoothed rough edges with a file. Note: the diver and passenger sides are slightly different shapes.
The design will not bend, therefore you have to cut it up to install it back in. Since I will be using the middle of the MDF to support For my air management system and subwoofer, I choose to cut the sides in a straight line.

Installed the final MDF piece and test fitted. I had to keep trimming the carpet several times to finally get it to fit perfectly.
Once I was satisfied with the final fitment of the mdf board, I took it back out and used a pocket hole kit. This allows you to install screws at an angle where the final carpet will cover them up. Also with it out, I outlined the carpet and cut off the access carpet. The mounting holes were revealed by cutting around them.
Purchased the carpet on Ebay. I only needed two yards with the 54 inch wide trunk bay. Total cost was 24.00 + tax . Free shipping.
The camera's flash makes the carpet look like 2 different colors, but once you are in day light, you cannot tell a difference.
