The Front valve cover was polished, prepped and then painted. After polishing the cover, I sprayed it with the Dupli-color Metal Cast Smoked MC206. This gave it a tint and protected the polished finish. The metal cast paint was rated for high temps. For the red on the valve cover, I used the Duplicolors Perfect Match BHA0959 Bordeaux Red (R78P), and surprisingly it has held up to the heat for over 10 years. The rear cover was painted in Duplicolors Hi-Temp Semi Gloss Black.
