Easy cheap mod!! The original factory instrument lights are green. After installing blue indiglow face gauges and three autometer Colbalt series gauges which are blue, I had a mixture of blue and green lighting. To make every thing blue, I ordered a 20 pack of 12v 5mm round LED's from eBay for around $7. I have used these eBay LED's on just about everything. I installed as many as needed to get the bright, indiglow look. Electrical tape was used to defuse the light where needed. All LED's were placed in a parallel circuit, which means twist all the reds together and all the blacks together. Reds = 12v and Black = negative.
What i said on my Cardomain "The L.E.D.’s will fit in the cut out space in the plastic for the OE lights. This clear plastic peace is used for reflection of light. I glued them in the location with super glue at first but it did not work well and was a mess. So I switch to “plastic and emblem adhesive” 3M product 08061. This was much better to use. The wires would fit perfectly through the OE holes on the circuit board."
Drilled the back cover to allow wires to pass though
I like the clear LED's the best. there are a few to purchase from 5mm or 3mm I recommend. There are some some color chaning RGB LEDs I am thinking of upgrading to in the future.
This last image is a picture of the back of the OE Gauges. The raised plastic parts are where the bulbs are located. You could do the same mod for it also.
