I dissembled all that I could; mainly what you can see from the top. I even left the steering assembly in and brake lines. For what I could not take out, I taped off or wrapped in aluminum foil. The aluminum foil works great for wires and small hoses, because this can add stiffness and you can bend them the way you need to get your spray can/gun in the bay to paint. I used strings to hang wires and the fuse box was suspended in the air from the ceiling. I prepped it really good. I also used q color matching primer in some areas. Note: It was painted with 5 coats of the Duplicolor Perfect Match BHA0959 Bordeaux Red (R78P), followed by 3 coats of Perfect Match clear top coat.
