Prep taping and more cleaning on the motor
I cleaned up the area to be taped off using rubbing alcohol.
I still have a few parts not installed that need cleaning, but no paint.
Tapped off the motor to get ready for paint.
Most of the engine work so far has been done at a high school in the mechanic shop or in my computer science class room after hours in which I work at.
I am not set up to paint at work so I am bringing it home to spray it.

2010 - Note I never built my motor when I pulled it out the first time in 2010.
While the engine dries, I am making a small paint booth to keep the dust and air particles down when painting. Cost = $1 in staples. Plastic was donated to me.
To get to were I can spray at home I had to purchase an air pressure regulator for the spray gun, air filter/ water separator, and air line fittings.
I used a swivel stool, plywood, and some tie downs to make a turn table so I did not have to walk around the engine block to paint it.
safety items needed for painting
Went to Pull-A-Part to collect some missing parts. Picked up the alternator brackets, Fuel distributor parts, and handful of missing fasteners
I did not use thinner so I could reuse any leftover paint later from the spray gun.
I had the spray set to the smallest amount of paint to avoid runs it the small crevices of the engine block.
I might clearcoat it after the 7 days...
