If you're dreaming of ripping out the EGR from your motor, this little adapter will make it a breeze! Just pop it on and watch the magic happen.
Picture this block off as puzzle piece, custom-fit to your motor like a dream! No fiddling around with screws or tools - just pop it in with what you have. And guess what? It even comes with a gasket!
This bad boy not only fits like a dream, but it goes with my brushed aluminum theme.
Why block the EGR valve? Some say:
To rev up the engine's efficiency to max power, we need to block those pesky carbon-dioxide gases from sneaking back in. Clean engine is a happy engine, Your engine deserves a spa day! All that grimy carbon buildup and dust can really put a damper on its mood and wear it out. Cons harmful CO emissions released and engine can run hotter.
It looks like most Mx6 and Probe owners decided to block it off because of those flashy aftermarket turbo exhaust manifolds and headers.
The extra EGR recirculation tube included with the headers sounded like a bonus, but it ended up being a dud and didn't mesh well.
Some say, where the EGR "T" connector coming off of the Vris Solenoid 1 and Vris solenoid 2 are, you remove the EGR line and connect those two Vris lines together. Note Replace the T connector with a straight through connector. Cap off the intake air box to VGR if you have it.
Word on the street is you don't need to keep EGR solenoids , just hold onto the VRISS and Fuel regulator while ditching the rest. But, if you're looking to dodge those pesky check engine codes, keep the EGR solenoids plugged in for good measure!
