Fall of 2021 I decided to take a look at a motor I haven't touch since 2006. What will I do with this motor? Will I save it or use it for parts? So far I have it all of the external parts off of it and I am cleaning it up. I will ether rebuild it or hold on to all the parts for spares.
Back in 2006 I was ordering parts from Racing Innovations and the counter man Harry asked me if I would interested in a spare motor. He said they had laying around in there garage. It was left over after doing a KLZE swap for a Ford Probe and the owner did not want his stock motor. So he said they had $40 invested in the motor for a part and they said I could have it for $40. So I got it. Was going to use it for parts, but never had the need to. Almost 15 years I am taking a closer look at it for the first time.
According to the info below the motor is from the year 1994(10th digit = R) and is a Probe v6(8th digit = B).
