In April 2020, I replaced my voltage gauge with a Vac/Boost Gauge. Marketing sold me on the Auto-meter Cobalt Series! They started appearing on the Tuner scene in the early 2000's. Here is an add from the June 2004 Super Street Magazine.
Indiglow Face Gauges and a Aluminum Gauge Face Cover! These were purchased from ebay and I don't remember the brand. The local ad is from a 2001 Super Street magazine and a PepBoys Catalog. Indiglow was another famous mod at the time. These are not the most commonly white face dials, instead they are silver color face with blue or green indiglow lights. With a flick of a switch you can change the color of the lights.
The Aluminum Gauge Face Cover lays over the plastic to give it more appeal. Peal and stick on.
Buffed the lens cover. Not sure on the aluminum face cover but I think I got it off of ebay in 2009. I used 3m emblem glue to attach it. Any missing or broken parts were picked up a spare OE cluster from the junk yard .
the clear leans does not separate that easy. I tried heating my factory and another one I had, but I broke the leans on both of them. So on the third one I used a dremel tool to split it apart. If you do break one the Mazda mx6 and and 626 have the same gauges. So you can pick up a gauge cover at pull-a-part for around $7.
