Exciting news!! We have the green light to start using the playground next week (as long as it is not slippery). The 3K and 4K students will be allowed to use the one small slide. We will be getting more equipment for them in the spring. 5K and 1st grade can use the rest of the playground. We cannot thank Mr. Villalpando enough for his generosity.

With the arrival of cold weather and snow this week, please send your child with warm clothing for recess. If there is snow on the ground, students will need boots and snow pants to play in it.
Spirit wear must be ordered by this Sunday, November 24th.
Our 2nd annual Jingle Jangle Jubilee is coming up! This will take place on December 14th after 4:30 Mass starting with our Christmas concert at 5:30 in the church. The event will take place in the church basement afterwards with food, music, raffle baskets, crafts, cookies, a visit from santa, and more! If you would like to donate a raffle basket, please reach out to Ms. Lori or myself. Each class will also be collecting items for their own themed raffle baskets. We are excited to invite you to our second annual Jingle Jangle Jubilee on December 14th 2024 – a festive celebration you won’t want to miss! The holiday magic begins after the 4:30 PM Mass at St. Sebastian's Church with a school choir concert at 5:30 PM, followed by a merry party in the church basement located at 3126 95th St, Sturtevant, WI 53177. The evening will be filled with holiday cheer, including Christmas crafts, raffle baskets (drawing at 7:00 PM), a special visit from Santa, a delicious dinner, and much more!

Our student of the week this week is Angela from our 4K classroom! She is a leader within our school and is always willing to help her teachers and classmates. She is kind to everyone. We are so blessed to have Angela as part of our St. Sebastian STEM Academy family.
3K - As a part of our PLTW unit on Healthy Habits, we read two stories reminding us to eat a "rainbow" of fruits and vegetables each day. We then filled a "plate" and "basket" with some of our favorite foods that grow within God's beautiful world. We concluded our unit about fall changes by playing in the leaves that fell from the tree in front of our window. We discussed how the areas around our school were going to look completely different by the end of the week. All of us were very thankful to have one last day in the leaves!
4K - This week in 4k we read the story How to Catch a Turkey. We then discussed what an enclosure is. Students then drew a plan to make an enclosure and made a turkey enclosure at the end of the week.
5K - In Math this week, we are learning about classifying and counting data. We continue to observe and record information about our friend - Pumpkin Jack.
1st grade - First grade has been investigating plants and animals. For plants we learned about their different parts and what the functions of those parts are. For animals we learned about their body parts as well and how animals can have things in common, but still be very different. It has been a week of discovery in the creatures of our world.

With the cold temperatures and snow arriving, please send your student in warm clothing for recess. If your student will want to play in the snow, they will need snow pants and boots.

Shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, razors, lotions, soaps, deodorant, feminine products (pads and tampons) Items will be picked up on November 25th. You can drop them off at the main office. Thank you.

Also, please remember that the day starts at 7:25, if you are running late, please bring your child through the main doors and sign them in to the main office. If your child comes to school after 7:45, breakfast will be over. Thank you!
Also, if you will be checking out your child early on a school day, please call Ms. Lori at the school office. Teachers do not always get a chance to look at their email or Dojo during the school day. Thank you.
Just a reminder that your child needs to be 24 hrs. fever and/or vomit free before they can return to school.

Please try and stick to the meals that you signed up for. You will be charged for what you signed up for unless you notify us the day before for breakfast or the morning of for lunch. At the beginning of each month I will send you 2 copies of the breakfast and lunch menu. One is to return to school, and the other is for you to keep at home. If you need a copy of your child's menu, please let me know and I will get one to you. Thank you
Our lunches are all served kid friendly, if it says orange Chicken, everything will be served in separate sections. So basically it is chicken nuggets unless they choice to dip it in the orange sauce. Hope this helps.

Each month, the girls will do activities to learn about and grow in each of the areas represented by each of the Daisy petals. Additionally, the girls will earn “fun patches” by participating in events and service opportunities around the community!

Please share this information with anyone who is dropping-off or picking-up your student. Here is a video that explains our drop-off and pick-up procedures. Here is map that shows a visual and here are written directions. Our school hours are from 7:25-2:25. Drop off starts at 7:05. Students who are not picked up by 2:35 will be brought to the office and will need to be picked up from the front of the school.
You can find our uniform policy here. Please note, students must be in closed toed and closed-back shoes. No sandals or crocs.
We are in need of volunteers! Our areas of need include lunch, recess, mass, music, art, and physical education. We are also looking for monthly speakers to talk about their STEM-related careers. If you are interested in volunteering please call us at 262-425-0009 or email Mrs. McCauley at amccauley@sienacatholicschools.org.
In order to volunteer in our building or at any school events you need to have a background check and have completed the Safe Environment Training. There are many options available online in our area. If you do not remember if you have had this training in the past please reach out to me and I can look you up in our system. Please share this with anyone you know that is interested in volunteering at the school. I highly recommend doing this if you plan on being involved in any school events.
