Marking criteria
We use various marking criteria when assessing student work. Each one is adapted to the learning objectives of the assessment: the Public History criteria, for instance, place a heavy emphasis on awareness of non-academic audiences. Your module convener will explain which criteria will be used for the assessment, but do ask if you're unsure. Student feedback has asked for more guidance on how we interpret the criteria. In response we've created some 'Making sense of the marking criteria' guides at History Hacks.
