Organic Forms And Textures

For this project we were assigned to take images of organic forms, I look this photo of a branch with snow on it to represent organic forms. I used my camera to take this image. Some photographic techniques I used are: close up, high key lighting shown in the bright colors used, leading lines shown in the pine needles and the branch, grouping shown in the number of pine needles, and formal balance is used because both sides of the image are similar. I used the following elements of art in my artwork: line represented by the pine needles, color, and texture seen in the needles and the snow. I used these principles of design: contrast seen in the difference in colors and textures , patterns shown by the needles, and there is emphasis on the branch in the center of the photo. By taking this photo I learned that depth can make a image more interesting. This image relates to my life because my moms dad planted this tree when him and my parents make our house, he died when I was very young and thats why this image relates to my life.
