William Wegman

For this project every student got to pick two photographers, every student picked one photographer and created image that was inspired by one of their photos. I created a image that was inspired by William Wegman of my cat. I used my Canon Rebel T5 to take this close up picture. Some of the photographic techniques i used were close up, selective focus which is why the background is blurry, the cats head files up more than half of the image which means that this image follows the rule of thirds, and sharp focus, high key lighting shown by the cats eye and the wall behind it.I used the following elements of art in my photo color, texture, and shape. To add interest to my composition, I used these principles of design contrast and balance. By creating this image I learned how to get a reflection in a eye.
