Color Selection

For this project I had to create three images with specific objects in color and the rest of the image in black in white. I used photoshop to create these three images along with my camera. Some of the techniques I used in my images are leading lines which is shown by the lines on the flower and the lines of the field hockey stick, high key lighting which is shown in every image, low horizon line in the field hockey picture, sharp focus which is in every image, grouping which is shown in the field hockey picture and the flower picture, and formal balance which is shown in the leaf and flower picture. I used he following elements of art in may image color, texture, line, shape, value, form, and space. To add interest to my composition, I used these principles of design balance, contrast, and pattern. By creating these images I learned how to make only one part of a image in color and the rest in black and white. In future pieces I might do this to make a specific part of a image stand out.
