Cloning and Overlays

For this project we were assigned to take a photo and clone stamp one or more things out of it. For this project i took a photo of a metal water grate outside of the school, i decided to clone stamp the two pieces of grass because i didn't like how blurry the grass was and how it distracted to from the photo. One thing that i wish i could change would be to get the whole grate in the image instead of just half of it. The composition rules in this photo are leading lines, high horizon, sharp focus, and grouping. I used a digital camera and photoshop to create this image. I used the following elements of art in my artwork color, texture, shape, and line. I used these principals of design: unity, pattern, emphasis, and contrast. This completed work makes me feel good because I feel i did a good job of editing out the grass. In future projects i may take images from a ants view.

For this project we were assigned to take two photos and put them on top of each other. For this project i took one photo of my window and one photo of my sisters field hockey game, i placed the image of my sisters game on top of the image of the window. One thing that i wish i could have changed would be to not have the center of the window frame directly on top of the player because i feel that you cant see the player as well now. The composition rules in this photo are leading lines, soft focus, high key lighting, low horizon line, grouping, and rule of thirds. I picked these two photos because i wanted all the focus to be on the girl who was dribbling the ball up the field, i did this by using the four lines from the window frame to draw the eye in. I used a digital camera and photoshop to create this image. I used the following elements of art to create this image color, shape, line, and space. I used these principals of design: unity, emphasis, and movement. This completed work makes me feel okay, because i know that i could have done a better job.
