Food

For this project we were assigned to take images of food. My concentration is close up images, so I decided to photograph a chocolate shape with bright sprinkles and red hots on top. The only technology that i used for this photo was my Canon Rebel T5, I didn't change the saturation of this image because the sprinkles and red hots were already so bright. Some of the photographic techniques I used are: high key lighting which is shown by the bright colors, close up, selective focus is used because the focus is clear and the background is blurry, and formal balance is used because both sides of the image are look the same. I used the following elements of art in my artwork: Color which is shown by the multiple colors used in the photo, the sprinkles represent Line because they lead your eye to different areas in the image, textures is used because you can see the smoothness of the red hots and the grittiness of the shake, and shape is used because there are lots of geometric shapes likes circles and ovals. To add interest to my composition, I used these principles of design: the type of Balance that is used is formal balance, contrast if shown by the opposite colors and opposite textures, and movement is used because the sprinkles lead your eyes throughout the image. This completed work makes me feel good because I really like how much detail I got and the brightness of this photo. This image relates to my life because when i get home from school I sometimes make this type of shake in my ninja bullet.
