Time Capsule Drawings

This assignment was to draw 4 pictures. The 4 pictures were a self portrait, a corner of our room, an object in the kitchen and our hand holding an object. I used pencil to draw each of the photos. For the kitchen object, I chose a toaster because it has many details and lines that I know would challenge me. For the corner of my room, I chose the corner with the most going on because I wanted my drawing to have a lot of detail. I chose an apple for my hand drawing because it was simple to draw in a hand. These drawings used demonstrated elements of art such as, shape and space. I revised my self portrait a lot because I felt that the facial features didn't match with my actual facial features. The objects I chose to use for my drawings are the items in my house I use the most, for example I use my toaster everyday to cook my breakfast and my desk to set stuff on when I go to bed. I am proudest of my corner of my room because I felt like I got the proportions right on the drawing. I struggled with my self portrait because I didn't look at my face as lines but eyes, nose and mouth. My self portrait could have been stronger if I draw my face as I saw the lines in it.
