Word as a Graphic Icon

For this project, we were assigned to use a word to create a design or logo. We wrote down nouns on separate sheets of paper and then each got a random one that somebody else in the class had written. I chose fruit, and I now had to make the word fruit look like it was made out of fruits. I looked online to see what fruits had different lines and shapes to get a good idea of what fruits I could incorporate into my design. I began with the grapes, which were placed on the "U." I did this because I thought it looked somewhat like a vine that grapes grow off of. I then used the arc in the "f" to make a watermelon slice. I used the arc in the "r" to create a banana. I used the dot of the "i" to make a kiwi. I drew a little pear in the "u." Finally, I used the lines crossing the "t" and the "f" to create citrus fruits like oranges and lemons. I then colored everything in to make it not so bland. If I were to do this project again, I would probably try harder to be more creative with my design by potentially making a tree with the word "fruit" inside. Overall, I think this project definitely could be better and be more creative.
