This assignment was to look at a part of your body and draw it as you see the lines without looking at the paper. For all of the drawings, I used sharpie to draw the outline. For the self portrait, I used brown watercolor paint for the hair and red watercolor paint for the mouth. I didn't change anything about my artwork because I couldn't; it was in sharpie. For this assignment, the elements of art demonstrated are line, color and space. I had to balance my pressure on the sharpie because I had to make sure it was the same thickness all the way through. I also had to move my hand the same as I moved my eyes to make the proportions right. This relates to my life because its a drawing of me obviously. I am proudest of my self portrait because I feel that I got all of my facial features in somewhat of the right spot. I struggled with the hand because I had to do the fingers all the same shape and size. I think my artwork could have been stronger if I had slowed down a little bit and really focused on the lines of my face and hands.
