This image shows Griffin as he progresses through a jump over a picnic table. I took this image by taking multiple consecutive pictures with a fast shutter speed while Griffin jumped the table. On photoshop, I combined the image using the multiple exposure technique. In the darkroom, I printed the image using transparency paper.
This image uses formal balance, high and low key lighting, and multiple exposure. Originally, I wanted Griffin to be doing a front flip over the table or on the grass, but he wasn't exactly game for that, so i worked with what I had.
This image is meant to have a playful tone, with Griffin experiencing the joys of a beautiful day as he does some hardcore parkour. By showing the whole process of him jumping, I am able to display more of the experience and what makes it so fun. If I were to redo this project, I would reprint it to make better contrast. I had one that had better contrast, but I lost it.
