Film: Inspired

After two failed attempts to produce a roll of film inspired by Sally Mann, I took a walk around the school looking specifically for windows, which ended up being the theme for my inspired roll. I tried to use all of the windows to cast a nice natural light on subjects within the classroom, and when I went to the science wing the windows let in lots of light onto the chairs on the desks, where the metal created a neat flare. The image uses repetition and leading lines, with the repeating chairs and the orientation of the desks and chairs leading toward the back of the room. The light also creates some silhouettes of the chairs and a mix of high key and low key lighting. While the film was drying, dust got onto it creating white dots on the print. If I were to do this again, I would make more of an effort to clean off the dots from the film.
