Altered Process

These images show Griffin's head, but with two different altered processes of developing. Both images had the developer painted onto them. The first I painted into an x, hoping and praying that the center landed somewhere near his nose. The second one I just made some nice strokes with the paintbrush, experimenting to see if something neat came out. I wanted to play with positive and negative space to create a minimalistic photo, and that is what I achieved.

This photo uses low-key lighting, sharp focus, and abstract framing. Originally, I wanted the x to be "full" throughout, but I ended up liking the mistake of having parts of it partially painted and trailing off in places.

These photos remind me of minimalist album covers and they look like paintings, something I haven't achieved with any of my photos up to that point. If I were to change something, I would try and paint over the eye in the image to the right.
