Conflict

"clotheD"

This image shows Griffin standing in the ocean, fully clothed, with his tie undone and shirt slightly undone to show some sort of distress. I took this photo by going to Winslow Park with Griffin and having him jump in the water. I printed it using a transparency in the darkroom.

This image uses rule of thirds primarily, but also uses informal balance, and low key lighting. Originally, I wanted a photo of him just standing chest-level drenched in the water, but I liked one where the tree was in the background better from a composition-standpoint.

This image shows conflict in the way that someone wearing nice-ish clothes would not be found in the ocean generally. The subject could have had a stressful day at work and just felt like jumping in the ocean, leading to the unimpressed look on his face. If I were to change something, I would have liked a well composed image that also shows how soaked Griffin is.
