Altered Negative

Radiator

This image shows Griffin sitting on a bench with a bunch of lines radiating away from him. I made this image by scratching a negative from a Photography 1 project with an exacto knife. I wanted to make something in which the altering of the negative interacted with the image.

This image uses leading lines, rule of thirds, and informal balance. Originally, I had an image in which there were stick figures peeking in through windows, but I didn't think that it was interacting with the environment either realistically or abstractly, so I moved to another negative and made it purely abstract.

This image reminds me of a comic book where some character has something radiating from them for some kind of powerful effect. If I were to revise this, I might try to make the lines a little more precise and less scraggly.
