Feet

"Wire walking"

This is an image of my sister's feet walking along the rails of our back porch during halftime of the Super Bowl. The railing shows how small and dainty her feet are compared to its width and sturdiness. I made this image by having my sister walk slowly along the porch while I moved around taking multiple shots that I thought best captured her feet. This photo utilizes leading lines, low key lighting, and shadows. I edited to make the light dimmer and made the image black and white. There is also informal balance in the differing sizes of her feet and rule of thirds is also employed. The image is supposed to evoke a sense of silence and winter wonder. The snowy ground reminds me of Robert Frost poems that describe quiet winter evenings, and the juxtaposition of bare feet on a cold night make the image interesting. If I were to change something in this image, I would make it crisper, as it gets blurrier when you zoom in on the image.
