Go to Start → PC Settings → Update & Security → Windows Security → Virus & Threat Protection
2. Under Virus & Threat Protection, select Manage Settings.
1. Scroll down to Exclusions and click Add or Remove Exclusions.
2. Click Add Exclusion, and select Folder
3. Point the exclusion you are creating to the entire C:\SuperSalon folder. When completed, it should look something like this:
4. Close Windows PC Settings, and relaunch SuperSalon.
CAUTION: Failing to disable Windows User Account Control settings will cause a salon’s printer to stop printing. Do not forget!
Go to Windows Control Panel → User Accounts → Change User Account Control Settings and set notifications to Never notify.
Check that vcom is in Windows Startup programs, by going to Windows Start Menu → Type startup in the search bar → Select See which processes start up automatically when you start Windows.
Find the vcom icon titled Tray MFC and click the Enable button.
Make sure that there are no thermal receipt printer drivers installed already! This means check for Epson, Star, Ithaca, and even POSx drivers and remove them from the system via Windows Programs and Features before continuing the set up.
Disable USB Selective Suspend Setting:
Go to Windows Control Panel → Power Options and click Change Plan Settings.
Continue by selecting Change Advanced Power Settings.
Find USB Settings and open the drop down menu, and set USB Selective Suspend Setting to disabled.
3. Go to Windows Control Panel → Power Options → Choose what the power buttons do on the left side of the window.
4. Click Change settings that are currently unavailable and then Un-check the Turn on fast startup checkbox.
