ProPoint Support agents are expected to assist with all of the label printers you see within this section of the support wiki.
Label printers are for inventory purposes, and many salons prefer to use them for the professional look they provide for labeling products at a business. When a salon receives a product order, they will more often than not print the labels for the products that had a change in price, so that they can stay up to date with the rise and fall of product pricing. ProPoint resells Zebra products, and the modern solution that we offer is the Zebra ZD410 Label Printer.

All of the various hardware our customers can take advantage of have a few important requirements that need to be taken care of before the installation can be considered complete:
Follow the steps in the Windows Power Settings Change article to be sure the hardware communication is not interrupted by Windows.
Complete the settings changes in the User Account Control Settings article to be sure any hardware drivers are not disrupted.
These are requirements – that means they must be completed for every hardware set up, no exceptions.
Go to Zebra’s support page for the ZD410 and download the Zebra Setup Utilities driver, and the OPOS Driver.
2. Right click on the driver after it’s downloaded, and run it as administrator. Click next until the installation completes, there are no configurations necessary at this point.
3. Once the driver is installed, it will run itself automatically, and you will see this message:
4. Click next, and set the printer to USB (Universal Serial Bus), then click next again.
5. You will now be prompted to connect the printer to the PC, and then press the Finish button – this will add the printer into Windows Devices and Printers. Alternatively, you can click Manual Install to do this yourself, just as you would with any other printer in a Windows environment.
6. In the Zebra Setup Utilities, select the LP2824, and then click Configure Printer Settings.
7. Change the Label Size value from it’s default, to 1.60 wide by .80 high. Please note that this may need to be adjusted slightly after testing, in some cases!
8. Confirm that the connection type is set to USB.
9. Leave all other configurations as their default, and you can now close the Zebra Setup Utilities.
From the Windows 10 Control Panel, go to “Devices and Printers“.
2. Select “Add a Printer” from the upper menu.
3. Click on “The printer that I want isn’t listed” link at the bottom.
4. Select the option “Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings”.
5. Select “Create a new port” and pick “ZDesigner Port Monitor” from the list.
6. Enter the printer IP address in both the empty fields, then confirm and click on next. If you don’t know what is the printer IP address and you want to assign it, kindly check this article.
7. Select “ZDesigner” on the left and the printer model on the right.
8. Change the printer name, if needed.
9. Select the option below that fits your needs.
10. Print a test page to test the communication between computer and printer.
Go to Setup -> Label Printer.
Enter the shared printer name you configured in step 8 above – it needs to be identical to what you named it in Windows!
Save settings.
Test the printer in Manager -> Products by selecting a product and clicking the print label button.
Set the quantity to 2 or 3, and then click Send to Printer.
