BS in Early Childhood Administration , AAS in Early Childhood Development (grad 2023)
Heather volunteers with Loving Care Cat Rescue by contributing her time to both the maintenance of the cat enclosures and by engaging in interactive sessions with the feline residents. She volunteers with cats because of her love for animals, a desire to make a positive impact on their lives, as well as to support animal welfare and rescue organizations. Heather is driven by a passion for feline care, a sense of responsibility, and a personal connection to these animals.
Heather understands the similarities between the values of nurturing and supporting all children and the care and connection she fosters in her work with animals in her current programs. Both call for tolerance, attention to detail, and individualized strategies. Her volunteer work has improved her communication, empathy, and flexibility skills, which she uses in both her academic work and her work in early childhood education. You can visit Loving Care Cat Rescue's website here to find out more about them: https://lovingcarecatrescue.org. The website provides opportunities to volunteer, donate, or adopt one of the many cats seeking their forever homes for those who might be moved to support the cause.
