Kattina volunteers as Vice President for Steuben County Cancer Association (SCCA).  The SCCA helps residents in the county with their utility bills and other expenses while they receive cancer treatment.

She said she became involved in the SCCA because of the immeasurable financial help her parents received while her father was battling cancer. Over the last few years, Kattina spent a significant amount of time revamping the image of the SCCA in the community. She created a website, logo, opened the opportunity for donors to help by online donations, and made the organization more accessible for the patients. A previous job gave Kattina the opportunity to help the SCCA receive a grant to help the community. 

Kattina shared that it's important to her to provide some peace of mind for cancer patients so they can focus on surviving.
