Kari Nelson volunteers with Sheridan Wyoming Junior Congressional Association. She says it’s a great group that gives back to the community with new projects every month. They participate with Habitat for Humanity, Relay for Life, the Schools, and many other groups. She was allowed to create her own volunteer assignment earlier this year where she organized a district wide seedling project for the elementary students.

During the initial outbreak of COVID-19, she created the seedling project to give kids something to do while stuck at home. It did so well and so many kids enjoyed it that she is planning to keep the project going.

Kari says the Sheridan Wyoming Junior Congressional Association is “a really great group of individuals whose only goal is to give back to the community.”
