Abigale Hutton

Master of Science in Human Services - Family and Community Services, BS in Human Services in Youth/Family Services and Administration (grad 2022)

Abigale Hutton volunteers as an animal advocate at Indianapolis Animal Care Services and Oinking Acres Farm Rescue & Sanctuary. Abigale shares that she loves “helping those that can not advocate for themselves and being the light within their day.” She has always been a big animal lover and wants to help end animal abuse. She is dedicated to alleviating the abundance of homeless or neglected animals within her community.

Indianapolis Animal Care Services is devoted to protecting and promoting the health, safety, and welfare of all animals within Marion County. They work with animal rescues both nationally and locally to give animals a better chance at life. They are currently understaffed and over filled; both the animals and the workers need volunteers to help give the quality of care they deserve. Abigale wants to spread awareness on the amount of help IACS needs. She pleads for others to share, help, or donate their time to those trying to help make the world a better place.

Oinking Acres Farm Rescue & Sanctuary is a non profit animal rescue that helps IACS with their livestock. They are located in Brownsburg, Indiana and are dedicated to educating people about farm rescue, finding homes for the livestock that are able to be adopted, and providing a sanctuary for the animals that are un-adoptable. The rescue was started in 2017 by a very ambitious teenager and they have saved 500 pigs since they started, plus other livestock! Abigale states she is proud to be a part of something so genuine and inspiring. Oinking Acres is the result of dedication, love, and community.

It makes Abigale feel like she will be able to achieve her dream of owning her own Animal Rescue and Human Shelter.
