Aroos Naeem volunteers for Career Development Professionals of Indiana, Inc. (CDPI). CDPI is “dedicated to the advancement of the career services profession within Indiana by promoting improved communications and cooperative ventures among the member universities and colleges for the purposes of implementing professional development, employer development, and public relations activities.“
Aroos chose to volunteer with CDPI to increase professional networking and partner with the Indiana Department of Education & Workforce Development to spearhead educational conferences. Aroos shares: “We have been able to organize and host academic conferences for the State of Indiana.”
Aroos is currently a Student Success Manager supporting Lynn University. She has over 18 years of experience working in various functions in Higher Education. She has served in Higher Education by practicing student centrism and supporting student success in many leadership roles including Dean, Director of Education, Director of Student Affairs, Director of Career Services, Admissions, Academics, and Academic Instruction.
Aroos graduated Magna Cum Laude with her double-master’s degrees in Master of Education in Instructional Design and Master of Science in Leadership from Western Governors University. She also obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Industrial/ Organizational Psychology, Lean Six Sigma Certification, Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology, all from Purdue University.
Fun Fact: Aroos retired her pom-poms many years ago as the choreographer for the Indianapolis Colts Cheerleaders and now coaches the Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis’ Cheer & Dance Teams. Her motto in life is "Be the change you wish to see in the world." Mahatma Gandhi
