Douglas Emberton

Douglas is an alumnus of the Bachelor of Science in Fire and Emergency Management and is starting the Master of Science in Homeland Security and Emergency Management. Douglas is a district coordinator for Team Rubicon. Team Rubicon’s stated mission is to provide “disaster relief to those affected by natural disasters, be they domestic or international. By pairing the skills and experiences of military veterans with first responders,medical professionals, and technology solutions, Team Rubicon aims to provide the greatest service and impact possible.”

Of his volunteer service, Douglas says: “After returning from Afghanistan and leaving the military I lost my direction. I found that joining the Tribe Team Rubicon I found my direction and that was giving back to the community. I felt lost without my squad members. I missed the camaraderie but TR gave this back by giving me another team. We also get the chance to be part of something bigger than ourselves.”
