Savannah Moore started volunteering in 2005 with non-profit organizations in Atlanta, GA. Since then she has been involved with many different causes. In 2015 she began volunteering with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), whose goal is to save lives by raising awareness and bringing hope to those affected by suicide. She is currently an AFSP volunteer and field advocate with her local Asheville, NC chapter. Savannah recently participated in AFSP’s Out of the Darkness Wellness Challenge to raise awareness and donations for suicide prevention.

Savannah shares: “In the past I struggled with thoughts of suicide which led to a frightening place. Thankfully, I found help and made it out of that dark period. I aim to support anyone else who is battling suicidal thoughts and struggling with their mental health. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention shines a light on risk factors and warning signs, and helps brings hope and solidarity to those affected.”
