I have found and researched my Traditional treatment of my health context (If there is more than one session)
I have begun writing my Traditional treatment of my health context.
NOTE: if you are opting to write about two practices only, then you will have the third practice writing time. This means that you can complete your second practice and complete any edit work in this space as well.
This week and next week (Depending on how many sessions you have in week 6) we are looking at Traditional Medicine and the philosophy behind it. The key ideas around Traditional Medicine is that it surrounds cultural practices and relates to indigenous experiences. It is also based on knowledge, skills, and practices that are passed down from generations. Traditional medicine also focuses on prevention and diagnosis of health issues to help improve physical and mental health outcomes.
Work through the slides to begin developing your understanding of traditional medicine. Make notes around the key terms that are evident and being used when discussing traditional medicine. Be aware that if you are utilising a traditional medicine that you ensure it is used within New Zealand.
