Media, gender roles and sexuality
The media contributes towards many attitudes and values when we look at and discuss gender roles and sexuality. From confirming gender stereotypes and roles to subconsciously relaying messages about sexuality through the portrayal of men and the "womaniser" behaviours associated. Use the Google Doc resource below to build your ideas about the impact that media has on gender roles and sexuality to develop a critical thinking approach.

When developing strategies you need to discuss strategies in a way that is looking to address a social injustice and develop strategies to ensure social justice
Consider strategies that reflect things that the person can complete themselves. For example: Learning personal skills such as assertiveness, decision making, problem solving or conflict resolution skills
Consider strategies that involve another person or persons. For example: Using problem solving, conflict resolution and shared decision-making processes in relationships with other people.
Consider strategies that can cover the whole of society. Things such as policy, TV, advertisments that appeal and have an impact on the entire society. For example: Advocating a greater range of role models through advertisments and TV
After watching the following video on an old sitcom called "Married with children" we are going to discuss how we could respond to and answer the questions for Resource A.
