By the end of this week
We have developed our class korowai
We have contributed and shared ideas around what we want from this HEA2 course in 2023
Complete and turn in "Who am I" slide
Students are to make distinctions between attitudes & values, and Hauora and associate them confidently in their own lives.
Who am I?
Who am I? Your task is to create a one or two page slide that describes who you are. Take some time to reflect and think of what is most important to you as you don't have a lot of space. These slides must summarise you as a whole not just one small aspect. Consider future pathways and life goals in there also!!
PowerPoint presentation: You are to use the "Who am I?" template provided to create a slide on a PowerPoint presentation. The template is an example of some things that you can include in your slide. Students can also have the option of introducing themselves in their own cultural greetings if they wish. Once this has been completed, it will be submitted onto Google classroom.
The goal of this activity is to construct a class korowai-cloak which will display what we value in our class. The process will be one of working cooperatively to create the cloak. Negotiating a caring classroom environment in this way reinforces the Māori concept of ako, “the promotion of effective and reciprocal teaching and learning relationships where everyone is a learner and a teacher”. The korowai “is a particular type of kākahu (cloak).

Some questions to probe how your Hauora is after the break:
How is your energy today returning to school?
Do you feel well-rested?
Are you nervous about returning to school?
Have you considered your goals for 2024?
Do you have a strategy of getting close to 8 hours of sleep each night?
