The action competence learning process discusses how we are going about our take action projects. We began our take action journey with "identifying an issue". We progress through the learning process to create our take action projects.
Use the following questions to support you when gathering evidence on your take action project.
What does the evidence suggest?
Is this evidence New Zealand based? If not, can it be accurate and relevant to us here in New Zealand?
Where does the evidence come from? Sources such as Wikipedia are not reliable and accurate therefore cannot be used as a trusted source. Research through known organisations such as the NZ government, health organisations, netsafe, New Zealand herald (can be good and bad) or just New Zealand based research is best.
Does the evidence back up my claim about this being a well-being issue?
We will be using the PEHT Macro plan which breaks downs the weeks as an overview. We will need to break down these weeks into a micro plan as well to support our learning. We will be using an action plan that discusses the smaller actions that we will be taking in order to complete our projects. The macro plan will reflect what each week will be as an over view, the take action logs will reflect the sessions and what each session has going on and wht needs to be completed within these sessions. These action plans asks you to idenfity the following things
-What is that action that you need to be taking
-Who this action is assigned to?
-Why this step is needed
-Identify barriers and enablers for this particular action
-The time frame in which this needs to be completed (To ensure you complete your project within the time frame)
Make a copy of the template below and paste this into your learning evidence documents. If you are working as a group of students then you must all be working on this action plan together. You may turn the group document in as your learning evidence towards the end of term two. This will have the actions of the group, as well as the actions that you have taken, what happened, why it was needed, barriers and enablers for this.
