For employees in Fulfillment in Norway
As a general rule, Oda aims to employ staff on permanent contracts to avoid uncertainty for temporary or part-time workers. Exceptions can be made where there is a specific need. Any deviation from full-time employment must be approved by the Department Manager before any contract changes can be initiated.Β
The standard employment level is 100%
When necessary, the following three part-time levels can be considered: 80%, 60%, 40%.
The different part-time levels are restricted to these percentages to enable sufficient personnel follow-up, to keep employees up to date on ever changing porcesses and procedures, to keep connected to the shift/colleagues, and to make the planning and staffing processes easier and more predictable.
Any deviations fomr these set levels in Fulfillment must receive special approval from the Department Manager in collaboration with the People Team.
Written request: Please send a written request to your Team Leader and the Operating Manager and explain the need/justification (e.g., studies, health reasons, life situation) and the proposed percentage you would like to work. If your request is based on your wish to work for another company, it is important that this is clearly stated in the request.Β
Assess and approve: The Department Manager and People Partner/Advisor assess the request together to make sure it is in accordance with internal guidelines and legal regulations, that is does not negatively impact operations, and confirm what reduction they are able to offer you.
Once approved, your Team Leader will submit this change in Workday.
The People Hub team will receive the change in Workday, and send you and your Team Leader a Contract Amendment to document the change. Once you both have signed, People Hub will upload the signed amendment to your Documents folder in Workday.
Keep in mind:
When you request to have your contract percentage reduced, you will not have an automatic right to have the contract percentage increased again at a later point.Β
There are some special cases where employees have the right to request reduced working hours (not reduced contract), see Employee Handboook, but there still needs to be a written request.Β
Send a written request to your Team Leader and Operating Manager with justification/need
You need to confirm your willingness and ability to take on additional hours in the request
The Department Manager must approve the change based on operational needs for increased staffing and financial considerations
After approval: The Team Leader registers the change in Workday, and the People Hub team will send both of you a Contract Amendment documenting the change.
The increase has to be in line with the permitted part-time levels as stated above.
If you work in a part-time role, you must be scheduled in full days only.
Split shifts or half-day allocations will be avoided to ensure consistency, quality and better team coordination.
The schedule will be planned according to operational needs.
