Salary payments
For employees in Norway
For employees in Norway
Salary is paid on the 10th of each month. If the 10th falls on the weekend or public holiday, the salary will be paid on the nearest working day before the 10th. Payment is made to the bank account you have registered in workday (preferably a Norwegian bank account). Here you can see how you can update your bank account number.
Your pay slip is protected with a password, which is your Norwegian Personal number or your D-number.
The salary paid is based on the hours and deviations that are registered in Quinyx. If anything seems wrong you should first check that all your hours are correctly registered in Quinyx. Please contact your manager if you notice errors.
If you have any questions about your salary, you can read the guide below and see if you can find the answer yourself. Otherwise, contact your direct leader/manager. They can answer most of your questions. If they do not have the answer, they will contact Payroll or People.
At Oda we have two types of payments: hourly and fixed salary. Our hourly paid employees are paid according to the internal wage table which is negotiated between Oda and the representatives from Handel & Kontor and LO. Our employees with a fixed salary have a individual pay that is based on benchmarks and Job Architecture done for their job profile.

In some cases, Oda has the right to make deductions from your salary. One of the most common deduction is tax, based on your tax card available in Altinn. Read more about taxes & your tax card here. Other types of deduction could be canteen deductions or parking deductions.
You can read more about what type of deduction Oda can make in the working environment act section 14-15.
Oda provides a 12% holiday pay from the holiday pay generating income. Holiday pay generating income is:
Ordinary Salary
Overtime
Bonus
All types of 'disadvantage additions' (UB/UT)
Holiday pay is not generated over paid holiday days you use.
All employees will receive their holiday pay in their June salary. If you leave Oda, you'll receive a final settlement with holiday money earned in the past and the current year along with your final salary payment.
Note that if you have a fixed salary, you will be deducted 25 holiday days in June as well. If you are hourly paid, you will be deducted the holiday days when you actually take holiday. You can read more about this in the holiday chapter.
Advance on holiday pay
If you are hourly paid and you want to take out holiday before June, you can apply for payment of holiday pay before June. If you want to apply for this, your holiday must be registered in Quinyx and approved by your leader. You can then send the application to payroll@oda.com. Please add the following information in the application:
Your name and employee ID
When and how long you will take out holiday
The application must be received before the first business day of the month in order to be included in payroll.
In December, you only pay half of the normal percentage of tax.
Note that some tax tables have full tax throughout the year. Contact skatteetaten.no for more information.
