A tool for sick leave follow-up for employees in Operations in Norway
Preppio is a support tool for sick leave follow-up that is designed to help you and your manager follow-up your sick leave period in an easy and structured way. The tool does not replace face-to-face meetings, but it helps ensure quality, mutual understanding and communication during your sick leave.Β
Preppio is a SMS-based system which will send out text messages with information and reminders to you and your manager in order to align with the legal requirements and internal routines in Oda. This is a mandatory follow-up process and all employees in Operations on sick leave have a duty to participate and cooperate in the process and to complete relevant all steps through the Preppio tool.Β
When you submit a doctor's sick note in NAV, it will automatically transfer to Preppio. This triggers a sick leave journey which begins already on the first day.Β
Reminder: Although this is automatic, you still have to let your manager know that you are on sick leave and update them about any extentions. The tool does not replace the need for dialogue between you and your manager.
First day:Β
You and your manager will both receive a text message. In your message you will be informed that your manager has received your sick note and that they will reach out to you soon to schedule a follow-up meeting.
First week:
During the first week you will receive some information about what your rights are and what your obligations are while you are on sick leave.
You will also receive a digital form via SMS where you should answer a few short questions about your work capacity.Β
Your manager will receive a follow-up plan, that they will fill out together with you during a follow-up meeting, which they will invite you for. The follow-up plan you fill out together can be sent directly to NAV and to your doctor.
After 2 weeks:Β
You both will receive forms to fill out regarding the evaluation of the follow-up plan. What has worked/not worked?
After 5 weeks:
You will receive guidance and preparation ahead of the first dialogue meeting, which your manager will invite you for.
After 24 weeks:
You will receive guidance and preparation ahead of the second dialogue meeting, which your manager will invite you for.
Before max date:
Approximately 10 weeks before the max date of sick leave (52 weeks), you will receive information about your rights going forward and important steps ahead in your sick leave process.
Reminder:
During your sick leave follow-up in Preppio you will not be asked to share any medical details you are not comfortable with. The sick leave follow-up process is centered around your work capacity and any adjustment Oda can make to help you return to work.Β
