3 candy canes
a glass of hot (almost boiling water)
a glass of warm water
a glass of cold water

Instructions
Before starting, predict which liquid will cause the candy cane to change the most. Record your prediction on your observation sheet.
Place a candy cane in each glass of water and let sit for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, observe each candy cane and discuss how temperature effected the results.
Record your observations.
