construction paper - white, pink (brown if you want a spring rabbit)
scissors
glue
pencil
black marker
googly eyes (optional)

Ask an adult to cut out two holes for your fingers at the bottom of this circle.
Trace a smaller circle on your white paper and cut it out.
Draw two ovals for the ears on your white paper and cut them out.
Cut out two smaller ovals for the insides of the ears on your pink paper and cut them out.
Glue the smaller circle on top of the bigger circle. Make sure the holes in the big circle are at the bottom.
Glue the ears on the top of the smaller circle.
Glue the pink inside of the ears.
Use the markers to draw eyes, nose and mouth on your rabbit.
If you have googly eyes, use those instead.
You can make a rabbit using one colour and then if you use the same objects to trace your circles you can make the other colour and glue it to the back. to have a winter rabbit and a spring rabbit. If that's too tricky, just make one!
You can have a brown rabbit and a white rabbit to show how some rabbits adapt by changing colours according to the season.
Glue your brown rabbit on the back of your white rabbit and you'll have a puppet that can be a spring rabbit and a winter rabbit all at once.
Front side: winter rabbit
