Listen to the story
Come up with a plan to catch the squirrel at the end of the story. You can decide to just draw a plan to show how you would do it.
Use materials in your home to build a trap for the squirrel or a contraption for the hunters to use to catch him. Lego, recyclables, blocks, art materials might be useful for this project!
You can print this paper or you can just use a blank paper to record your plan.
Watch Chris Haughton make his characters. Then use your imagination to use the collage technique to make your own character or make his!
Follow along as Mme Cara shows you how to draw the bird.
Use your scissors to cut up small shapes of many colours and glue them all over to cover your bird like in the picture!
Print the paper and colour the picture using the fun, bright colours that Chris Haughton uses in his story.
You can print these character pictures to help you retell the story.
